Article 1 This code was established in accordance with National Taiwan Normal University Research Ethics Center Foundation Policy and its enforcement rules. Sources of Law
Article 2 The university is called National Taiwan Normal University. It established The Digital Technology Research Center of Asian Popular Music and will be referred to as “the center” below. Aim
Article 3 Mission:
 I. Support and pass down Taiwanese pop music
    II. Establish a talent pool of pop musicians and academic mechanism
    III. Conduct Chinese music globalization layout framework
    IV. Conduct scientific research and collaboration between academia and industry
    V. Integrate cross-department and graduate programs and provide assistance with the related tasks
Aim
Article 4 The Digital Technology Research Center of Asian Popular Music at the National Taiwan Normal University is positioned as a college-level center. Center Level
Article 5 The Center has two divisions to handle different tasks Popular Music Industry-Academic Development Section
1. Coordinate pop music Creation research and talent cultivation tasks
2. Prepare and held global creative and cultural industry exhibitions
3. Handle Ministry of Culture or other government-related organization projects
4. Promote cooperation between media and related industries
5. Plan various cultural and creative music marketing activities

Popular Music Big Data Analyze Section
1. Provide pop music-related cloud service and preserve pop music-related digital collection
2. Conduct Academic research and market analysis on pop music
3. Conduct soundtrack research and practice in broadcast, television and film industries
4. Apply big data technology to analyze pop music sectors
Labor of Division and Operation
Article 6 The funding of the center is based on the principle of self-sufficiency, and is responsible to cover its utility expenses, phone bill, rent and other maintenance related expenses, which will be handled in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations. Sources of Funding and Planning
Article 7 The center has one director who handles general center-related tasks. The Dean of Music College will recommend the qualified full-time faculty members for the position, as appointed by the president. Guidelines for Appointing the Position for the Center Director
Article 8 Each section of the center has one section leader. The center director appoints NTNU full-time assistant professors or above with regard to academic or research personnel for the positions. The center can employ administrative staff in order to fulfill administrative or research needs based on the guidelines of not affecting establishment posts. Employment must be in accordance with relevant regulations and open for recruitment. The center can employ several consultants according to research or business needs. Article 9 If the center director, section leaders and special assistants serve as NTNU full-time faculty members, they can reduce the number of teaching hours by two hours according to “Auditing Guideline for NTNU Faculty Teaching Hour”. The reduced teaching hour remuneration shall be paid by the center. If teaching hours are exceeded as a result of the extra hourly remuneration, then they should not be paid for the extra hourly remuneration during that academic school year. Article 10 A Committee meeting shall be held regularly to discuss the center-related matters. The center director is the chairman. Special meetings with NTNU related personnel may be called as necessary. Committee Meeting Related Matters
Article 11 The center conducts an evaluation process every five years. The evaluation process is run by NTNU College of Music and the report will be submitted to the academic conference for further evaluation. If the evaluation result fails to meet the standards, or the operation procedure does not meet a certain threshold, the conference will reach a consensus on this related matter. Article 12 Matters not stipulated in this code should be conducted in accordance with relevant regulations of the school. Handling of Unspecified Matters
Article 13 Upon being passed by the Music College Academic Conference, and approved by the Executive meeting for future reference, these procedures were announced and implemented. Any revision must follow the same procedure. Implementation and Revisions
